A 'barraca' (in the direction of Mata Negra)
While going up towards the mountain pastures, you will encounter these former shepherd huts (barraca) built out of dry stones in an 'orri' (place to gather the cattle: draft, manufacture of cheese). These constructions go back to the Middle Ages. A recent carbon dating on remainders of hearths would indicate an occupation of the site going back to more than 3,000 or 4,000 years.
